Carlingford

Overlooking the coast, Carlingford is situated in an area of magnificent natural beauty. This medieval town is also historically important being home to a fine castle, an old Dominican Abbey and a 15th century tower called 'The Mint'. The local visitor centre is an ideal place to start for those interested in understanding the history of the area. However, many people are attracted to the town purely for its summer festivals of food, sport and music.
